Controller (Construction)

Overview This Jobot Job description is provided for the Controller role in construction and site services. Salary is $110,000 - $135,000 per year. The company operates across Austin, Dallas–Fort Worth, and the broader Southeast region and is expanding its operations in the Austin/San Antonio market and beyond. Key Responsibilities Lead monthly and year-end close processes across multiple entities. Manage job cost accounting, WIP schedules, and revenue recognition. Oversee accounts receivable/payable, billing cycles, retainage, and cash flow forecasting. Partner with project teams to monitor budgets, margins, and cost performance. Maintain internal controls and support audit, tax, and compliance requirements. Supervise accounting staff and support process improvements across platforms. Qualifications 5–10+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to construction or related industries. Strong understanding of job cost accounting, WIP, and project-based financials. Experience in multi-entity or growing platform environments preferred. Proficiency in construction accounting systems such as Deltek ComputerEase, Viewpoint Vista, Sage 300, or similar ERP systems, and Excel. Strong communication skills with ability to work closely with operations and leadership.
