Early Intervention Occupational Therapy Assistant

Medstaff Group is recruiting Early Intervention providers on behalf of an EI agency serving young children (birth to age five) and their families across Brooklyn. We're looking for a NYS-licensed/certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide Early Intervention services in Boro Park, Kensington, Flatbush, and Park Slope.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with and carry out occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed OT
• Deliver services in the home, daycare, or another natural environment as assigned
• Document sessions and coordinate with the child's care team as required
• Maintain a flexible caseload across the neighborhoods listed above

Area notes:

• Boro Park: coverage especially needed in the 40s-50s and all avenues; Yiddish-speaking is a plus but not required
• Kensington: no current OT coverage in this area
• Flatbush: additional OT providers needed; after-hours availability and home visits preferred
• Park Slope: occasional cases arise; no current OT coverage available

Qualifications:

• NYS licensed/certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)
• Works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (supervision provided)
• Experience providing services to children under 5 preferred (Early Intervention)
• All candidates whether DOH-approved or not must have specific experience working with children under five. General pediatric experience alone is not sufficient. Candidates with a year or more of experience specifically with young children are preferred; a therapist who is experienced but not yet with this age group may be considered for mentorship.
