Major workers’ compensation and personal injury law firm located in Downtown Manhattan is seeking a plaintiff-side Workers’ Compensation Attorney. The attorney will independently manage assigned cases from inception through settlement or trial. This opportunity is open to entry-level candidates through attorneys with 5+ years of experience, with salary dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned plaintiff-side workers’ compensation cases independently from inception through settlement or trial.
- Conduct client intake and evaluate case information.
- Perform legal research and support case strategy.
- Manage discovery and motion practice.
- Prepare cases for settlement and negotiate settlements.
- Represent clients at hearings.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience practicing workers’ compensation law.
- Experience handling workers’ compensation matters.
- Entry-level experience in workers’ compensation law.
- Background in Workers’ Compensation Law.
