About the Position

Job Description

We are seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Vascular Surgeon (MD/DO) for a full-time permanent opportunity in Findlay, Ohio . This position offers a rare opportunity to establish and lead a community-based vascular surgery program while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical environment.

Assignment Details

• Location: Findlay, OH

• Position Type: Permanent

• Specialty: Vascular Surgery

• Practice Model: Hospital-based, community-focused program

• Schedule:

  • 2 clinic days per week

  • 3 procedural/surgical days per week

• Call: Approximately 10 night/weekend call shifts per month (no daytime call)

Clinical Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a community-based vascular surgery program

• Provide comprehensive vascular surgical care including:

  • Abdominal and thoracic aneurysmal disease

  • Carotid artery disease

  • Hemodialysis access

  • Peripheral vascular disease and limb salvage

• Perform both open and endovascular procedures

• Manage vascular disease using surgical, medical, and non-surgical interventions

• Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers

• Share call coverage with PRN vascular surgeon, vascular APP, and remote physician support

• Work closely with cardiology, interventional radiology, and multidisciplinary teams

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a community setting

• Maintain strong communication with referring physicians

• Participate in institutional and departmental service activities

• Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment options and disease prevention

Program Development & Leadership

• Opportunity to play a key role in program growth and expansion

• Participate in future recruitment of additional vascular surgeon(s) and APP support

• Planned transition to a hybrid operating room

Clinical & Diagnostic Services Available

Requirements

✅ Required Qualifications

• MD or DO

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery – REQUIRED

• Active Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain – REQUIRED

• DEA registration prior to start – REQUIRED

• Clean malpractice and license history – REQUIRED

• NPDB Self-Query Report (dated within 30 days) – REQUIRED

• Strong interest in community-based vascular surgery and program development
