Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact supporting K-8 students as a school-based Occupational Therapist in a welcoming educational environment near Dekalb, IL. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work full-time (37.5 hours per week, with consideration for part-time applicants) across two engaging sites—one location per day, so your focus stays on the students, not commuting. Collaborating with educators and support staff, you’ll promote student independence and participation in school routines.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
• Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings preferred
• Skilled in sensory integration and developing individualized student goals
• Ability to maintain thorough progress notes
• Comfortable working with general education, resource classrooms, and some self-contained special education groups
• Reliable, organized, and able to adapt to varying elementary and middle grade needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services for students from elementary through middle school
• Develop and implement school-based treatment plans tailored to students’ IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support teams to boost participation and functional skills in classroom settings
• Support students in both general education and special education classrooms
• Conduct assessments, provide documentation, and attend IEP meetings as needed
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive environment
