Robert Half is seeking a skilled Defense Litigation Paralegal to support a busy legal team in Downtown Manhattan. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal with litigation experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can provide immediate support with discovery and case management functions.
Candidates with either defense or plaintiff-side litigation experience are encouraged to apply.
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Downtown Manhattan, NY (On-Site)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Pay Rate : $30-$35 per hour
Responsibilities
- Provide litigation support throughout all phases of the case lifecycle.
- Assist with discovery, including document collection, organization, review, and production.
- Draft and prepare discovery-related correspondence, including good faith letters.
- Support attorneys with motion practice, including preparation and filing of motions and related documents.
- Manage case files, pleadings, exhibits, and litigation calendars.
- Coordinate with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed.
- Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of litigation-related tasks.
- Assist with legal research and other administrative litigation support duties.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of litigation paralegal experience.
- Defense litigation experience preferred; plaintiff-side litigation experience will also be considered.
- Strong understanding of discovery procedures and document management.
- Experience drafting good faith letters required.
- Motion practice experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workload
