Must-Have Qualifications:

• 3+ Years of NY Civil Litigation Experience: Direct experience handling New York personal injury, insurance defense, or tort litigation matters end-to-end.
• Heavy Medical Authorization Mastery: Proven, hands-on experience requesting, tracking, processing, and obtaining manual medical records and HIPAA authorizations across active caseloads.
• NY Practice & Procedural Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of CPLR requirements, court deadlines, and e-filing across NYSCEF and PACER.
• Substantive Legal Drafting: Experience drafting discovery demands/responses, Bills of Particulars, motions (e.g., Compel, Strike, Preclude), and good faith correspondence.
• On-Site Requirement: Must be able to commit to an initial 2-3 months of 100% in-office training before transitioning to a 3-day hybrid schedule.

What You'll Do

• Assist attorneys in the preparation of pending litigation actions, including drafting pleadings and responses to discovery demands.
• Manage extensive document production, coordinating the efficient and timely preparation of information.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized case files.
• Collaborate with and advise management personnel on providing documents in response to discovery requests.
• Analyze documents and meticulously catalog exhibits for various legal proceedings.
• Perform legal research and conduct thorough cite checks on briefs.
• Prepare all required legal documents with precision and accuracy.
• Monitor active cases and provide essential litigation support.
• Initiate and maintain legal holds using specialized software.
• Demonstrate knowledge of court deadlines, review relevant court and procedural rules related to deadlines and submission requirements, and manage calendaring.
• Maintain electronic document repositories and utilize document review platforms/software.
• Handle the e-filing of documents on various electronic court filing systems.

• Must have Insurance Defense Litigation experience and be well-versed in relevant jurisdictional practice.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in good faith letter writing.
