This role leads a team of Benefits and Leave Specialists and is accountable for service delivery, compliance, operational excellence, customer experience, and achievement of departmental goals and performance metrics. The Senior Manager drives a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence through strong leadership, coaching, talent development, and performance management. This role serves as a key partner to Total Rewards, HR leadership, Payroll, Legal, Compliance, and external vendors to ensure effective administration of benefits and leave programs while identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk, and enhance the employee experience.This is a Remote position available in the United States.Responsibilities:Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team through effective coaching, mentoring and talent developmentUtilize workforce metrics, dashboards, and operational reporting to proactively manage team performance and address trends, risks and gaps.Provide strategic recommendations based on trends, analytics, customer feedback, and organizational prioritiesEnsure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing benefits and leave administration, including FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, and related requirementsEstablish and monitor controls, audit practices, and quality assurance processes to mitigate operational and compliance riskServe as escalation leader for complex employee, vendor, and regulatory matters requiring advanced judgment and decision-making in collaboration with the appropriate COEOversee the administration and compliance of leave of absence programs and various employee benefit programs such as group insurance, life, medical and dental, accident and disability insurance, flexible spending, etc.Establish clear performance expectations and accountability measures for team members, ensuring achievement of productivity, quality, compliance, and customer experience goalsEnsure the teams have regular job specific training including but not limited to regulatory changes/requirements, internal BH procedures and processes, service delivery process, system required training, and any job specific skill development to ensure teams are fully proficientCollaborate with leadership to ensure our service delivery model supports our department goals and partners on ways to optimize our operating model that serve all teams within the HRSCHold direct supervisors accountable to adhering to policy, procedures, documentation standards, and service commitmentsRequired Qualifications:7 years Experience in benefits and leave administration3 years Leadership/management experience in HR or benefitsAt this time, Bright Horizons will not sponsor an applicant for employment authorization/visa for this positionPreferred Qualifications:Bachelors DegreeAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectivelyWorking knowledge of SaaS-based HR/Recruiting/Payroll/Time & Attendance solutions (Workday, CSOD, Kenexa, Workforce Solutions)Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite products: Excel, Word, PowerpointWorking proficiency in using AI tools like Copilot, Chat GPTExperience with HR Case Management tools (Service Now, Salesforce, Halo)Bi-lingualBe part of a community where people grow, futures are shaped, and lives are changed. At Bright Horizons, you’re the difference.Compensation:The annual salary for this position is between $107,000 – $120,000 annually. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening.
