Senior Manager- Client Accounting Services Client Solutions – United States – Chicago, Illinois Position Summary Reporting to the Director, the Senior Manager serves as a strategic resource, leadership, and technical support within the Client Accounting Service’s Portfolio Management team. The role focuses on identifying key issues, designing proactive solutions, and driving process improvements across all facets of client operations. Senior Managers guide teams, manage client relationships, and foster a culture of innovation through technology and automation. The position requires a foundational understanding of accounting, finance, and GAAP, coupled with a track record of leading cross‑functional initiatives. Responsibilities Analyze, develop, and implement financial and operational infrastructure for clients in the outsourcing space. Provide technical or project management guidance and communicate effectively with staff and clients. Develop and mentor team members to build professional capabilities. Manage client relationships and serve as a brand ambassador for Sikich. Keep portfolio management leadership informed of operational health and present solutions proactively. Design, vet, and execute solutions to client or team issues with minimal guidance. Enhance internal processes and ideate continuous improvement for operational maturity. Prepare stakeholders for semi‑annual Partnership Reviews, maintaining awareness through regular interactions. Leverage emerging technologies, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, client service delivery, and identify optimization opportunities. Qualifications Minimum 10 years of relevant experience. Prior consulting experience managing multiple client service teams and relationships. Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field (accounting/finance preferred). Strong leadership and accountability skills; ability to achieve results with limited supervision. Familiarity with GAAP concepts and guidance. Mastery of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in translating technical concepts. Self‑starter, creative problem‑solver, and thrives under tight deadlines. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities. Proven track record of improving financial and operational processes, ideally with growth‑stage companies. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, communicate change, and drive alignment. Implementation experience with emerging technologies, including AI and automation tools. Compensation In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is $163,000. Final offer may vary based on experience and location.
