Director of Digital Strategy and User Experience, (Exempt), Reports to Executive Director, Marketing and Delivery

Location: Work from Home Position – Work from Anywhere

The Director of Digital Strategy and User Experience is responsible for the vision, strategy, and measurement framework for Discipleship Ministries' World Service digital website experiences and how those work with other digital touchpoints within the Marketing & Delivery team. This role translates UX/CX research, behavioral insight, and performance data into a prioritized roadmap that balances user needs, ministry goals, and long-term platform growth, and helps to set the OKRs, KPIs, and governance standards that guide execution.

Will support the Executive Director of Marketing & Delivery by gathering information, analyzing digital needs, and providing recommendations to optimize user experience, streamline content workflows, and improve digital infrastructure. This position also partners with cross-functional teams (IT, Marketing, Research & Evaluation, etc.) to align content strategy with digital implementation, champions UX/CX research practices across the organization, while managing and providing hands-on support for the Digital Experience and Content Specialist and leading our agency/vendor platforms and partners.

This position will work alongside their direct report (Digital Experience & Content Specialist) to oversee web content production, gather and interpret digital performance data, identify trends, opportunities, and areas of concern, and present those insights and recommendations to the Executive Director of Marketing & Delivery for better information for organizational decision-making and priority setting. This role will be a strategic digital leader who can see the entire user journey, connect digital work to organizational goals and Key Performance Indicators, and turn research, analytics, and user behavior into clear priorities and an actionable roadmap across our web sites and digital platforms.

The Director of Digital Strategy and User Experience will operate at both the strategic and relational level: advising on direction without micromanaging implementation, partnering effectively with technical subject-matter experts, and ensuring our digital ecosystem continually becomes more useful, accessible, measurable, and aligned with the mission and goals of Discipleship Ministries.

Education / Experience

A Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Strategy, Web Management, Digital Experience Design, Digital Marketing or related field. Equivalent work experience in content strategy or web oversight may be considered.

Five plus years in digital content strategy, website oversight or project management related to digital platforms is required.
