Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse working in an acute care facility in Austin, TX. This 13-week contract position involves day shifts in a busy surgical environment, supporting procedures across various specialties including Orthopedics, Spine, Neurosurgery, Robotics, Plastics, General Surgery, and Gynecology. The role requires experienced OR nurses with a background in multiple service lines and ability to adapt to a fast-paced setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as RN, minimum of 3 years of OR experience, at least 1 year of travel or contract experience, certification in relevant specialties (e.g., neuro/spine), and experience in Orthopedics, Spine, Neuro, Robotics, Plastics, General, and Gynecology (excluding Cardiovascular).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with multiple service lines, proficiency with robotics, and cardiac experience are considered advantageous.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit features 22 operating rooms with state-of-the-art equipment including robotics, cardiac, vascular, neuro, spine, oncology, orthopedics, plastics, urology, and GYN procedures. The team maintains a 1:1 patient-to-staff ratio, with staff working in-house 24/7. The unit fosters a flexible, team-oriented, and self-directed work environment, with a strong focus on teamwork and advanced technology. Scrubs are provided; candidates must wear closed-toe, non-slip, heeled shoes. The unit emphasizes a low turnover rate and has transitioned staff from contract to permanent roles, highlighting its stability and positive work culture.
