Advanced Practice Provider Hospital Medicine Part Time

Job Description This position is accountable for the provision of patient care and other activities as permitted by licensure and defined within Credentialing and Privileging documentation (hospital), Credentialing and Scope of Practice (Medical Group), Consultation and Referral Plan (DOPL) or other similar documentation as appropriate. As part of patient care, the role includes delivering optimal patient care through effective clinical practice, education of the patient, patient’s family, clinical staff, and others, consultation with other healthcare providers, and maintaining current knowledge regarding options for optimal patient care and outcomes. About This Role As a Physician Assistant, PA or a Nurse Practitioner, NP in our Holy Rosary Hospitalist group, you’ll work collaboratively with hospital and medical group providers to provide top‑notch care and patient experience. Throughout the day you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with care and case management, the Emergency Medicine team, and excellent support staff. Practice at our Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City, Montana. Part‑time position, nights focus 12‑hour shifts. EPIC EMR utilization (system‑wide). Requirements Active Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license by the MT State Board. Prescriptive authority by the MT State Board of Nursing or Medical Examiners and a DEA license. Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association. ACLS certification within 6 months of employment (site specific). Effective communication and diplomatic teamwork skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to function successfully in a fast‑paced, service‑oriented environment. Computer proficiency, including Microsoft and Google products; ability to learn new applications. Passion for hospital medicine. 1–3 years of experience preferred. Open to nights. Physical Demands Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent verbal communication with patient care providers, patients, and visitors, requiring rapid and accurate processing of spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues, particularly during emergency situations. Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy; frequent computer use and typing for documentation, medication preparation, and information access. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients; bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment, sometimes heavy items. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment; often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms. May be required to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time. Location and Hours Location: Holy Rosary Hospital, Miles City, Montana Scheduled weekly hours: 24 hours per week; night shifts 12‑hour.
