• On-Call Shift Schedule: 24-hour call coverage with weekday and weekend call responsibilities

• Call Type: Beeper

PATIENT INFORMATION

• Patient Demographics: Adults

• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 15-20 patients per day

• Case Mix: Gastrointestinal conditions including IBS, GERD, colitis, ulcers, gallbladder disease, and related disorders

FACILITY INFORMATION

• EMR System: Epic

• Office Equipment Available: Standard GI procedural equipment

• Specialty Backup Available: Anesthesia support for procedures

• Support Staff Available: NP, LPN, procedural support staff

• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Temporary Privileges Available: Not Specified

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Upper Endoscopy

• Colonoscopy

• Diagnostic GI Procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active NY License required

• Board: Board Certified required

• DEA: Not Specified

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience

• Other Qualifications: Epic experience required; strong communication skills; continuous work history with no significant gaps

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care

• Perform endoscopic procedures including upper and lower scopes

• Manage and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions

• Participate in 24-hour call coverage including weekends

• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
