Overview
Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER) – Travel assignment in Saint Johnsbury Center, Vermont, United States. Start date 10/14/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours 36 per week. Shift: Nights, three 12-hour shifts per week (7 pm–7 am) with potential mid-shift coverage as needed. Weekly pay: $1,919–$2,022 per week. Setting: rural Critical Access Hospital with a busy ED that sees extensive patient volume and is undergoing expansion.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED (nine-bed unit) serving a high annual patient volume
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care; monitor patient status and outcomes; respond to emergencies
- Administer medications, IV therapies, wound care, and other treatments as ordered; monitor for adverse effects
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, initiate consultations, and manage patient flow
- Document care in the electronic health record and participate in continuous quality improvement and safety initiatives

Requirements
- Current Vermont or compact multi-state RN license
- BLS and ACLS required; TNCC preferred
- Minimum 3 years ER RN experience
- Proficiency with Meditech or ability to learn quickly
- Ability to work nights (7 pm–7 am) and cover mid-shifts as needed
- Credentialing documents must be uploaded no later than five business days before start
