Then this role may be the perfect fit.What You Bring to Cambia:Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, Data Management, or related technical field, and 5+ years in data governance operations, 3+ years of people management experience leading technical and/or business-facing teams, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills and Attributes:Extensive experience leading data governance operations including data stewardship, metadata management, data quality initiatives, data classification, and semantic layer governance with contextual metadata managementExperience with cloud data platforms, ideally Snowflake, including governance features, data governance platforms, and data catalog toolsDemonstrated ability to develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards that enable AI-ready data understandingExperience supporting both legacy and modern enterprise technology environments, with familiarity with compliance requirements related to data governanceAbility to contribute hands-on to technical work across data governance activitiesProven ability to lead, motivate, and develop business-facing and technical teams, including managing both FTE and contractor resourcesStrong project and program management capabilities with ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate work across multiple teams and functionsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business audiences, with ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences and business needs for technical teamsDemonstrated outcome-focused leadership and accountability with ability to manage dotted-line relationships effectivelyQuality-driven mindset, strategic thinking combined with operational execution, and strong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to balance compliance, operational efficiency, and business enablement with a change management and process improvement orientationExperience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making in professional settings highly desiredWhat You Will Do at Cambia:Manage enterprise data governance operations and data governance activities for the Cambia Data Platform, including data stewardship, data quality, metadata management, data classification, and semantic layer governance to enable AI-ready data understandingDevelop, implement, and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and standards while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policiesPartner with data domain leaders to advance governance maturity across the enterprise and build a strong data stewardship communityIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance data governance efficiency and effectiveness, and establish and track key performance indicators for governance operationsDirectly manage team members—including FTE and contractor resources—responsible for data governance operations, conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and supporting professional developmentBuild and maintain relationships with stakeholders across IT, Security, Compliance, Privacy, and business units to ensure data governance supports business objectivesDevelop and execute strategic plans for enterprise data governance and Cambia Data Platform governance while balancing operational demands with strategic initiatives and contributing hands-on to team deliverables as neededOversee data governance activities that support data quality, lineage, and metadata management to create trusted, well-understood data assetsAs a member of our strong leadership community, you will provide direction to your team, engage them towards common goals and create a positive experience that helps people flourish.Pay ranges vary based on the candidate's work location.
