Project Coordinator (Mays Cancer Center)

Job Description Under direct supervision, responsible for coordinating the completion of the project life-cycle, including preparing and maintaining project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements. Responsibilities Ensures projects run smoothly by overseeing a workflow, scheduling assignments, evaluating the course of the project and reporting its status to the management and stakeholders. Creates project plans and timelines to ensure adherence to established guidelines and ensures projects are administered according to protocol. Coordinates and organizes project activities to include training, data management, statistical analysis and budget preparation. Tracks progress, identifies and resolves obstacles. Oversees fiscal reporting to include monitoring expenditures and preparing financial reports. Provides status updates on the progress of the project. Ensures effective preparation and delivery of all project events, meetings and production of all necessary documentation. Serves as the project liaison between the various departments and stakeholders. Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications General business knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for an administrative or business process. Solid organizational skills, including coordination, multi-tasking and time management. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Extensive knowledge of common Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS-Project, Outlook, etc.). Strong focus on quality assurance with attention to detail and ability to apply protocols. Ability to work independently to collect, research and organize data. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines. Team-management and leadership skills. Education: Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Required Skills Three (3) years of directly related experience is required. Benefits Overview UT Health San Antonio offers an excellent benefits package for its employees. Time Off - A generous leave program offers multiple paid leave options: Front-loaded Paid Time Off: 128 to 208 hours (16 to 26 days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, given at the start of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire. Extended Illness Bank: 8 hours (1 day) accrued per month which can be used for illness or injury after one day of Paid Time Off is taken. Paid Family Leave: Up to 240 hours (6 weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after 6 months of consecutive employment. Holidays: 12 set paid holidays each year.
