Outdoor Entertainment Event Attendant (SEASONAL)

Pay Rate: 16.00an hour

Outdoor Orientation Date: May 2nd, June 13th, and August 8th

Must be able to work all outdoor shows (06/26, 06/27, 07/03, 07/18, 08/15, 08/21, 09/04, & 09/05)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Take tickets and interact with guests entering and exiting shows
Answer guests' questions related to the event, the property and/or its amenities
Monitor guests to ensure event rules/regulations are followed
Be familiar with Venue Emergency Evacuation Procedure, and be able to assist and direct guests as needed.
Notify guests of policies; and alert security as needed
Greet guests and provide usher services within venue sections to ensure guests are seated in the correct location represented on their ticket.

Required:

1 year hospitality or guest service experience

Skills

Required:

Accurate and detail-oriented
Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Abilities

Required:

Ability to work fast and efficiently
Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
Ability to serve both internal and external customers
Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice
Ability to enthusiastically and professionally up-sell property amenities

RESTRICTIONS

Must be 18 years of age or older to work events with adult content

REQUIRED TRAINING

Treasure Island guest service training
Any position-related training as determined by department manager
TIPS training and certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to walk and / or stand for periods of up to 8 hours
Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel
Must be able to reach and twist routinely
Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
Must have the ability to independently lift up to 15 pounds routinely
Must be able to stack removable chairs
Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed primarily in concert venues (outdoors)
Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions
Occasionally overtime may be required
Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
High volume direct public contact
