Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule (06:30 - 19:00), with every other weekend required.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients, including those in critical care settings. The role involves assistance in intubation, extubation, and the management of various respiratory devices. The ideal candidate will be proficient in treating adult and geriatric patients with a diverse range of respiratory conditions.

• Provide respiratory care and interventions for patients in critical care and emergency department settings.
• Assist with intubation and extubation procedures.
• Implement and manage mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy.
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results.
• Conduct nebulizer treatments and aerosol therapy.
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care practices.

• Oklahoma respiratory therapist license (valid at the time of submission).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• National Board for Respiratory Care certification (RRT or CRT).
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program with a minimum of 20 quarter hours in science (A.S. degree required; B.S. degree preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in critical care or similar settings preferred.
• Proficiency in using Epic charting system.
