Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with orthopedic/joint experience for a Rapid Response OR assignment at a hospital in the Denver, CO area.

Job Details

• Hospital OR setting with 14 operating rooms and a staff of approximately 70 FTEs,
• Surgical specialties include orthopedics/spine, neuro, and transplants,
• 1:1 patient ratio in the OR,
• Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with flexibility for evening hours as needed,
• Call shifts are required,
• Meditech EMR in use; prior experience preferred,
• 6-week Rapid Response contract with 48-hour work weeks,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital experience as a CST,
• Orthopedic/joint surgical experience required,
• NBSTSA certification required,
• DORA (Colorado) certification required prior to consideration,
• License required if applicable,
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start,
• Candidates must have active clinical experience within the last 6 months,
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,
• SSN and DOB required for consideration; Canadian SSNs are not accepted,
• One professional reference required,
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible,

Additional Information

• Level I and trauma experience is preferred,
• Prior Meditech experience is preferred,
• Ideal candidates are team players with a high level of accountability, expertise, and self-direction,
• Day and evening scheduling flexibility is expected based on unit needs
