Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - CVORT

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with CVOR experience for a rapid response, night shift travel assignment at a hospital in the Denver, CO area.

Job Details

• Hospital CVOR setting with 14 ORs and a staff of approximately 70 FTEs,
• Night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM,
• This is a rapid response position requiring floating between two hospital locations,
• 1:1 patient ratio in the OR,
• Typical procedures include AVR, MVR, CABG, Bentall, and aortic dissection repair,
• On-call required with a 30-minute response time,
• Flexibility for day/evening hours as needed,
• EMR system is Meditech; prior experience preferred,
• 6-week contract duration,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care CVOR CST hospital experience,
• Open heart surgical experience required,
• Active CST certification (NBSTSA) required,
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted) required; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start,
• DORA certification required,
• State license required if applicable (Colorado requires CST licensure),
• Must have worked in the specialty within the last 6 months,
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months,
• Level I trauma experience preferred,
• Prior Meditech experience preferred,
• SSN and DOB required for consideration,
• One professional reference required,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible,
• Ideal candidates are team players with a high level of accountability, expertise, and self-direction,
• Night shift team structure includes 1 charge nurse, 1 RN, and 1 ST,
• Day shift team includes a charge nurse, 1 RN and 1 ST per OR, PCTs, ATs, and a trauma team,
• Level I and trauma experience is a plus and will be given first consideration
