RF/MS IC Design Engineer, Optical Networking & SERDES

Responsibilities MaxLinear is searching for RF/MS IC Design Engineers to design, simulate, verify, and debug RF/mixed‑signal systems for high‑speed PAM4 SerDes and optical networking applications. Responsibilities include: Architect, design, simulate, and verify RF and mixed‑signal circuit IPs for high‑speed SERDES and optical communication systems. Design and implement critical circuit blocks including PLLs, VCOs, ADCs, DACs, and high‑speed transceiver components. Debug silicon issues, collaborate with cross‑functional teams to bring IC to volume production. Collaborate in a team driving architecture, design, implementation, and verification of RF/mixed‑signal systems. Qualifications B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related plus 5+ years of experience, or M.S. with 3+ years, or Ph.D. and passionate about high‑speed analog/mixed‑signal IC design. Experience in RF design, analog circuit design, or mixed‑signal design for high‑speed data transmission and/or optical communications. Strong simulation and verification skills, comfort with high‑frequency circuit simulation, and results‑driven approach to debugging. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional environment. Compensation And Benefits Base salary range: $112,000 to $242,000 per annum, with annual discretionary bonus eligibility and stock‑based compensation for many positions.
