Accounting Coordinator

Key Responsibilities Process daily customer check deposits and accurately apply payments within the accounting system. Manage accounts receivable activities, including payment posting, daily reporting, and collection follow-up. Process accounts payable and operating invoices in accordance with company procedures and internal controls. Monitor accounts payable and receivable inboxes, responding to inquiries and completing follow-up activities. Assist customers with billing questions and payment-related concerns. Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and prepare supporting documentation for Senior Accountant review and approval. Assist with month-end closing procedures and other assigned accounting activities. Prepare and maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable reports. Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal staff by phone and email. Support accounting and finance operations across multiple SMG locations as needed. Qualifications Previous experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with enterprise accounting software; SAP experience preferred. Strong organizational, time management, and project coordination skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records. Valid driver's license required. Work Schedule Part-time, approximately 30-35 hours per week. Monday-Friday, in-office position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Hours scheduled within normal business operations of 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Non-exempt position; overtime requires prior supervisor authorization.
