Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Pediatrics OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Operating Room Pediatrics Only (OR PEDS) in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing specialized pediatric surgical care within a highly regarded pediatric hospital, requiring kidney transplant experience, and on-call responsibilities including weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Job Details Certifications: BLS, PALS*; Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license. Education Requirements: Active RN license. Experience: A minimum of two years of recent acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty. Location Requirements: Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted. Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with on-call duties once weekly, typically on weeknights, and every 6-8 weekends. Minimum of 40 hours per week. Responsibilities include administration of blood and blood products, pediatric OR procedures, trauma, and various surgical interventions, along with strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols. Additional Information: Previous charge experience, patient ratio experience, and charting system experience (Epic) are required. Candidates must pass strict pass/fail telemetry interpretation testing with attempts detailed in the submittal requirements.
