Movement Search and Delivery is working with a manufacturing company in Akron, Ohio area to identify and evaluate a Quality Engineer.

We’re a heavy manufacturer in the Akron area, and what we build has to hold up. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You’ll plan, build, and improve the processes that make sure every part leaving our floor meets spec the first time. Your ideas won’t sit in a suggestion box. They’ll shape how we build, measure, and improve, and both customers and leadership will see the results.

What You Will Do:

\n

\n

\n
• Build and run the quality processes that keep us ahead of customer requirements and industry regulations
\n
• Design inspection and testing methods that catch issues before they become problems
\n
• Set the metrics that tell us how we're performing, and use them to drive results
\n
• Lead corrective, preventive, and continuous improvement actions from root cause to fix
\n
• Run statistical process studies that turn data into decisions
\n
• Be the go-to quality resource for internal teams and external customers
\n
• Perform inspections and jump in hands-on when needed
\n
• Partner with the Quality Supervisor and Manager to strengthen and maintain our Quality Systems
\n
• Take on special projects for senior leadership, with plenty of room to make your mark
\n

What You Need to Succeed:

\n

\n

\n
• Degree in Quality or Engineering is preferred
\n
• Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing
\n
• Hands-on experience with manual and automated gaging
\n
• Solid command of APQP and PPAP
\n
• Working knowledge of ISO/QS/TS/IATF quality management systems
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Minitab, and GageTrak
\n
• ASQ certification (CQT or CQE) is a plu
