What You Will Do:

Participates in on-the-job training, actively working toward competence in polysomnography.

Obtains 546 clinic hours and board registration as a Registered Polysomnography Technologist within two years of hire.

Collaborates with other professional disciplines to endure holistic patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.

Explains testing procedures to patients to obtain cooperation and reduce anxiety.

Monitor patients comfort and safety during testing; responds to sleep pathology with appropriate interventions.

Proficient in the use polysomnography testing equipment and treatment protocols

Completes and maintains patient's EMR/chart documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

Keeps Lead Technologist and/or Director well informed of pertinent information relating to work issues and changes within the work environment that impact service.

Ability to maintain and troubleshoot the patient schedule, verify insurance, and complete patient registration.

Participates in community wellness and disease specific education programs.

What You Will Need:

Currently has a healthcare credential recognized by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.

Becomes board registered within one year of hire.
