Title Clinical Support Specialist Agency Northern VA Community College Location Fairfax County - 059 FLSA Nonexempt Hiring Range $50/hr Full Time or Part Time Part Time Job Description The Clinical Support Specialist will oversee students in their clinical rotations in the hospital setting per the guidelines in place by the college in the adjunct faculty handbook, job description, and course description as well as the guidelines of the organization they are assigned to. Responsibilities Oversee students in their clinical rotations Provide support to students during clinical hours Minimum Qualifications Flexibility and ability to prioritize and work independently Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent analytical skills Excellent oral/written communication skills Critical thinking and clinical judgment skills Ability to use instructional technologyAbility to teach a diverse student population Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution Holds a current license or multistate licensure privilege to practice nursing in VA as a registered nurse. At least two years direct client care experience as a registered nurse Additional Considerations Experience teaching in higher education Experience teaching in classroom, hybrid, and online formats. Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive working and learning environment.
