About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Lending Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial loans, analyzing financial statements, and making informed lending decisions. This role also involves maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring compliance with lending guidelines, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the organization. The Chief Lending Officer will be expected to lead by example, oversee loan policy, and execute all loan activities approved by the Board of Directors. Additionally, the role includes underwriting and analyzing credits, managing collection activities, and maintaining a visible presence in the community to develop new business. Applicants for the Chief Lending Officer position at the company should have a background in finance, with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial lending, experience in underwriting and loans, and a strong understanding of SBA guidelines and procedures. Excellent analytical, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. The role requires a candidate with the ability to build and scale loan processes, as well as new business development skills. Experience in leading banking institutions and a background in commercial real estate, commercial and industrial lending, and consumer real estate is preferred. The Chief Lending Officer will also be expected to maintain a role on the compliance committee and respond to audits and exams.
