Site Civil Engineer (EIT)

Looking for a talented Site Civil Engineer to join a growing New Jersey based engineering team and play a key role in shaping the future of the land development practice. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals to create innovative site designs, detailed engineering plans, and technical reports that bring our clients’ visions to life. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is motivated to tackle challenges, and has a strong grasp of site design and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Work independently with a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans, reports and specifications for a multitude of land development projects Assist with civil engineering for retail, residential, institutional, renewable energy and industrial site design including grading and drainage design, utility design, and site layout Preparation and/or reviewing of design criteria, drawings and specifications Preparation of schematic design, design development, and construction contract documentation Assist with the preparation of permitting, design and construction documents Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues Technical and design report writing Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study required, Master’s degree a plus (may substitute for 1 year of experience) 2-5+ years of professional site/civil design engineering experience required Proficiency with AutoCAD, TR-55 and Rational Method for drainage design (i.e., HydroCAD, and StormCAD) required EIT Certification Solid understanding of the typical land entitlement process in New Jersey including permitting at the local and state level preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Liberty Personnel Services, Inc.
