School Bus Driver

The Board of Education is seeking applications for the following position: school bus driver district-wide. Qualifications include holding a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid New Jersey commercial driver's license (CDL) with a passenger and school bus endorsement, a minimum of two years of previous safe driving experience, a minimum of three years' experience operating a school or commercial bus, sufficient mechanical aptitude to diagnose minor problems and make appropriate repairs, the ability to maintain passenger discipline to ensure the safety and well-being and protect against vandalism, compliance with DOT physical examination and drug and alcohol testing requirements prior to employment, evidence that health is adequate to fulfill the job functions and responsibilities with reasonable accommodation in accordance with N.J.A.C. 6:3-4A.4, and a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community. The ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written, is also required.
