Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree (for grandfathered personnel)
• Certifications: CLS or MT (ASCP) or equivalent
• New MT Graduates must pass certification exam within 6 months of employment start date
• Strong proficiency in Epic

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Supports and communicates laboratory initiatives and philosophies.
• Collects, processes, and receives specimens for analysis in all departments of the clinical laboratory.
• Evaluates and solves problems related to the collection and processing of biological specimens for all age ranges.
• Participates in the evaluation of new techniques and procedures in the laboratory.
• Performs complex laboratory procedures and recognizes deviations from expected results.
• Analyzes quality control data and takes appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision.
• Answers inquiries regarding test results, methodology, and factors influencing test results.
• Reviews all instrument indicators and temperature monitors for laboratory departments.
• Maintains self-competency in laboratory skills.
