Description:
We have need of senior Linux System Administration support, with skills in the following areas:
- RedHat/CentOS & Ubuntu system administration
- Major and minor OS upgrade
- Scripting languages, including bash and Python
- Ansible automation
- Git repository management
- VMware/deployment methods
- Physical server maintenance, include iDRAC
- Implementing system security best practices
- Authentication protocols/methods including KRB, SSSD, A/D, LDAP
- Proficient written and verbal communication
Contractor Tasks:
- Individual Systems Update (100+ Systems)
- Security: uninstall FireEye HX agent, install/configure M.S. Defender, review/implement 3rd party recommendations
- Scheduled jobs analysis
- Validate/analyze boot files (inittab, systemd, rc.x)
- Compare /home to passwd file
- Review/convert chronyd configurations
- Migrate Ubuntu Desktops to current version (10 Systems)
- Upgrade/migrate Linux servers to latest OS (10 Systems)
- Ansible bash-to-yaml conversion
- Review/Improve logging (syslog-ng)
- Review A/D integration (Kerberos with SSSD; LDAPS; OUs)
- Replace SSL Certificates (20 Systems)
Required/Desired Skills:
- RedHat/CentOS & Ubuntu system administration - Required - 5 Years

- Scripting languages, including bash and Python - Required - 5 Years
- Ansible automation - Required - 5 Years
- Git repository management - Required - 5 Years
