Product Manager, Vice President - Navigation & Wayfinding
JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Job Description
You enjoy shaping the future of product innovation as a core leader, driving value for customers, guiding successful launches, and exceeding expectations. Join our dynamic team and make a meaningful impact by delivering high-quality products that resonate with clients.
As a Product Manager in Digital Channels, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
In this role, you will lead the strategy, standards, governance, and roadmap for how customers navigate, discover, and orient themselves across logged-in web and native mobile experiences. You will connect structural navigation and contextual wayfinding to make complex information architecture seem simple and intuitive, aligning Lines of Business and product, design, data, and engineering partners around scalable patterns and measurable outcomes. You will own the full product lifecycle—from discovery and prioritization through delivery, measurement, and iteration—while advancing top findability, engagement, and growth objectives for the firm. You will also help define how assistive, conversational, predictive, and AI-enabled experiences evolve navigation and guidance across the digital ecosystem.
Job responsibilities
- Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
- Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
- Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
- Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
- Establishes enterprise navigation and wayfinding governance, standards, and decision rights that scale across Lines of Business, platforms, and distributed product teams
- Defines structural navigation and contextual wayfinding frameworks that help customers understand where they are and where to go
- Partners with Lines of Business and feature teams to design customer awareness and orientation strategies for major launches and enhancements, clarifying what changed, why it matters, and how to realize value
- Establishes scalable approaches for introducing, highlighting, and guiding customers to relevant products, features, information, and tasks – with a particular focus on creating repeatable, resilient components
- Defines, tracks, and embeds navigation and wayfinding outcomes using analytics, research, customer feedback, experimentation, and partner input, to inform priorities and roadmap decisions
- Influences senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners to resolve tradeoffs, drive adoption of shared standards, and align decisions without direct authority
- Anticipates and tests emerging assistive, conversational, predictive, and AI-enabled navigation concepts, translating insights into standards and roadmap decisions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
- Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
- Track record of driving measurable improvements in findability, discoverability, orientation, and engagement
- Demonstrated experience leading information architecture strategy, including taxonomy, labeling, hierarchy, and content organization for complex authenticated digital experiences
- Experience defining or governing digital wayfinding approaches that help customers orient to new experiences, navigate change, discover capabilities, and complete complex journeys
- Ability to synthesize analytics, research, customer feedback, experimentation, and partner input into clear priorities, product roadmaps, and measurable outcomes
- Executive-level communication skills, including the ability to present progress, tradeoffs, recommendations, and strategic direction to senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated success influencing large, cross-functional organizations, establishing shared governance, and driving alignment without direct authority
- Technical fluency to partner with engineering on web and native mobile architecture, platform constraints, dependencies, instrumentation, scalability, reliability, and quality
- Previous experience as a direct people manager and/or team manager, including developing talent, setting priorities, and driving team performance
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
- Experience owning navigation, wayfinding, information architecture, or discoverability strategy for complex, multi-journey digital products across web and native mobile
- Background building or stewarding navigation frameworks, design systems, or reusable pattern libraries adopted across multiple product teams
- Strong proficiency in findability and wayfinding measurement, including navigation telemetry, search-as-navigation signals, discoverability, adoption, customer orientation, and task success
- Experience developing customer guidance and orientation frameworks, such as onboarding, contextual education, progressive disclosure, in-product messaging, or launch communications
- Familiarity with assistive, conversational, predictive, and AI-driven experiences, including working knowledge of artificial intelligence and large language model concepts and applications
