Department/Unit: HBD - General Surgery Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $49,763.00 - $69,668.00 Scheduling and Patient Services Lead – Albany General Surgery Office Monday – Friday Welcome to Albany Medical Center, providing excellent care to our community each day. We have an exciting opportunity for health care employees or entry level candidates looking to join our team as a Scheduling and Patient Services Lead. An ideal candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast‑paced environment, both independently and on a team. This is a full‑time position (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday during normal business hours of 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Primary Job Responsibilities Work alongside the Practice Coordinator/Manager to facilitate coordination of both front (check in/out) and back office Answer incoming phone calls and direct them appropriately to team members Interact with a diverse patient population Utilize the electronic medical record to maintain patient records via scanning or registration Schedule appointments, new or follow‑up visits (check‑in/check‑out) Coordinate patient referrals and prior authorization for additional diagnostic testing or procedures (as needed) Schedule surgical procedures (applicable to surgery departments only) Qualifications High School Diploma/G.E.D. – required Associate’s Degree – preferred 3–5 years office experience or three years of related experience in a medical practice – preferred Experience using an electronic health record and Microsoft Office is a plus Excellent customer service skills Ability to multi‑task in a high patient volume unit Ability to learn and utilize resources Strong time management skills Ability to review information and draw appropriate conclusions Good judgment and ability to problem‑solve; elevate issues as needed Strong teamwork skills and work ethic Salary Range $20.88 /hr – $28.76 /hr Albany Med Health System is an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Albany Medical Center
