Locums Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner - Mason City, Iowa Availability

Start Date: August (ASAP if credentialed)
Assignment: PRN, as needed
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Weeknight Call: Required
Weekend Call: 24-hour call coverage

Required Licenses & Certifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible
Active Iowa NP License or Active Compact License (copy required at name clear)

Clinical Responsibilities

Post-operative inpatient rounding
Inpatient and Emergency Department orthopedic consults
Operating Room assistance
Clinical orthopedic care
Trauma and orthopedic call coverage

Practice Information

Four orthopedic physicians
Hospital serves a regional population of approximately 200,000 across 16 surrounding counties
Average daily hospital census: 160 patients

Procedures & Patient Care

Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements
Hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot procedures
Fracture care
Orthopedic trauma
Sports medicine
General orthopedic conditions

Support & Resources

Nursing support available
Cast technicians
Surgery schedulers
Dedicated exam and cast rooms
On-site imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services
