Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12 nights per week)
Work setting: Hospital
Travel assignment – Temporary
- Weekly pay: 2,079 – 2,225 per week
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
- Start date: 11/16/2026
- Work setting: Hospital emergency department Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for ED patients across the age spectrum, including triage, initial assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, perform basic procedures within scope, and coordinate care with the broader ED team.
- Utilize clinical judgment to identify and respond to acute changes in patient condition; escalate to physicians as needed.
- Collaborate with CNAs and other support staff to ensure safe patient flow, accurate documentation, and timely care.
- Document care and interventions clearly in the medical record; ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Support patient and family education and discharge instructions, contributing to a smooth transition from ED to next care setting. Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in California
- BLS certification required; ACLS and/or PALS preferred
- ER or acute care experience recommended; strong critical thinking and multitasking skills required
- Ability to work nights and maintain composure in a fast-paced ED environment
- Solid communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate with a diverse care team
