Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date 11/16/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,156 to $2,236 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the ER, including triage, treatment, and discharge planning for patients across the age spectrum from newborns to geriatrics
- Perform initial assessments, monitor patient status, administer medications as ordered, and assist with procedures and care coordination
- Collaborate with the CNA and interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and care delivery
- Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and discharge instructions in the medical record
- Maintain patient safety, infection control practices, and adherence to clinical protocols in a fast-paced environment
- Support transitions of care and provide clear communication with patients and families

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (RN) eligible to practice in the applicable jurisdiction
- Experience in emergency department or high-acuity acute care settings preferred
- Ability to perform triage, rapid assessment, stabilization, and care planning for a diverse patient population
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; comfortable collaborating with CNAs and other care team members
- Availability to work night shifts and 12-hour shifts; ability to adapt to a fast-paced ER environment
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and adherence to clinical policies and procedures
