Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date: 11/16/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,162–$2,254 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12). This travel temporary assignment is in an emergency department setting within a healthcare facility, caring for patients from newborns to geriatrics and supported by CNA colleagues.

- Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in the ED, including triage, initial assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for patients across the lifespan.
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, perform ongoing assessments, and escalate as needed.
- Collaborate with CNAs and ED team to optimize patient flow, safety, and timely disposition.
- Document care and maintain accurate, compliant records in the electronic health record system.
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, follow-up care, and red flags requiring further evaluation. Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred
- Ability to work nights in a fast-paced ED environment
- Prior ED or acute care experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN) Benefits and Support
