Position Production Finishing Paint Helper - Phoenix, AZ Location Phoenix, AZ Job Id 399 # of Openings 1 Employment Type Full Time APEL Extrusions is an independent extruder, finisher and fabricator of aluminum extrusions serving the commercial, residential, and industrial markets of Western Canada and the Western United States. With locations in Calgary, Canada; Coburg, Oregon; and Phoenix, Arizona. We offer a clean and safe work environment. We are currently taking applications for production workers in the below areas: Available Positions Day Shift Finishing Helper Monday - Thursday 8am-6pm *occasional mandatory overtime General Duties and Responsibilities Work with large industrial equipment. Wear Personal Protective Equipment - ear plugs, safety glasses, and boots - at all times. Comply with all policies and procedures in accordance with our quality management system. Review and follow work order instructions and best practice requirements. Adhere and promote all safety requirements. Read and understand dimensional prints. Operate a forklift. Skills High degree of independence and accountability - Good attendance is required. Detail-oriented individual able to frequently perform multiple tasks at a given time. Able to independently perform simple calculations. Communicate well and interact with others effectively. Working knowledge of extrusion press responsibilities. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent. Manufacturing/Production/Warehouse experience preferred. Exposed to a production environment which includes noise, moving machinery, forklifts and fluctuations in temperature. Personal Protective Equipment provided. Physical Requirements Frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion and ability to lift, push, pull at least 25 pounds.
