What You'll Do

• Perform patient assessments including histories and physical exams focused on trauma cases
• Develop, review, and revise treatment and therapy plans in accordance with relevant regulations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays and lab work, and assist in procedures
• Recognize urgent situations requiring immediate physician intervention
• Counsel patients on health topics including medications, recovery, and health maintenance
• Manage patient admissions, documentation, and ongoing care coordination
• Support surgical procedures as a First or Second Assist, including robotic-assisted surgeries, under supervision
• Monitor and discharge trauma patients, supporting the trauma surgeon and maintaining comprehensive patient care

What You Need

• Required:
  • Active California Nurse Practitioner license
  • Trauma or Critical Care experience
  • Ability to assist in surgeries, including robotic-assisted procedures (training provided if needed)
• Preferred:
  • Surgical first assist certification or documented prior experience
  • Experience with trauma patients and emergency procedures
