Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The mission of the School of Social Work is to advance equity, transform systems, and improve lives. The School's curriculum supports the mission and recognizes the uniqueness of the region served, including concerns for disadvantaged, vulnerable, and oppressed individuals, families, and communities. Classes provide rigorous and evidence-based content, and give students the opportunity to explore theory, learn intervention skills and engage in challenging dialogue with colleagues. The School of Social Work offers M.S.W. and Ph.D. degrees. Dual degrees are offered in Law, Public Health, Public Administration, and Divinity (with Duke University). The faculty members of the School of Social Work have strong collaborative relationships with many campus units such as the Schools of Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, Law, Government, Education, and the Department of City and Regional Planning as well as University Centers and Institutes such as the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research, the Carolina Population Center, the Center for Developmental Sciences, Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute, and the Institute on Aging. Position Summary
The School of Social Work (SSW) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for three (3) Regional Liaisons for the Public Service Leadership Program (PSLP) funded by 'The Workforce is Here: How to Support Thriving Communities and Healthy North Carolina Children, Individuals, Families, and Elders via Social Work Interventions and Research' grant program. This initiative plans to develop and offer a statewide, three-tiered public service certificate for both pre-service students at the high school, community college, undergraduate, and master's levels as well as in-service practitioners currently employed in public sector social work settings. The purpose of these certifications is to spark interest in pursuing public sector career opportunities and, for those already engaged in the social work workforce, to add a credential to enable career progression and acquired competencies of advanced skills. Each certificate will encompass a core set of common elements: a degree and/or curriculum enhancement to leverage foundational instruction; a tuition-free credential, with curriculum development and instructional costs incurred and covered through the initiative; emphasis on direct service; content focused on North Carolina's critical service delivery areas; a virtual delivery model to enhance accessibility; and a co-instruction model of university faculty, agency professionals, and individuals with lived experiences.

This is a TIME-LIMITED position for one year and any extension is contingent upon available funding. This recruitment seeks to hire three Regional Liaisons, two of which will be situated in eastern NC and one central NC (e.g., the Triad, Research Triangle, or Charlotte-Mecklenburg). The Regional Liaisons will report to the Assistant Dean for Workforce Development and serve as the primary point of contact for enrolled PSLP participants in their assigned region. Regional Liaisons will support, within their assigned region, the development and implementation of PSLP's: 1) admissions and recruitment processes; 2) curriculum and academic program evaluation; and 3) resilience and well-being support across all program levels for prospective pre-service and in-service participants. These positions will play a key role in the collection and tracking participant admissions data, program learning data, and engagement in various in-person, virtual, and asynchronous program learning activities. The Regional Liaisons will also contribute to the development of marketing materials, facilitate information sessions, and provide on-ground, on-site coordination, and support for in-person training events, conferences, and outreach events.

This hybrid position will be required to provide on-site and in-person support to PSLP participants and coalition partner campuses within their assigned region. The candidates selected for this position must reside within a commutable distance of at least one of coalition partner campuses within their assigned region and be willing to support the other coalition partner schools and programs. The position will require up to 25% travel to in-state NC human services organizations and partnering NC Social Work Coalition universities. Additionally, there may be required travel to Chapel Hill, NC for in-person meetings, statewide conferences, and other convenings to support the implementation of the PSLP.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Master's or Bachelor's and 0-2 years' experience; or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
* Proficiency in using online learning platforms and digital tools for virtual program delivery (e.g. Zoom, Teams, Mentimeter, BigBlueButton).
* Ability to manage workload both independently and collaboratively without immediate or direct supervision.
* Ability to think critically and use conflict resolution skills to solve complex logistical problems involving diverse populations (e.g. schools, community-based nonprofits, university).
* Approachable, calm style to encourage open communication across essential partners.
* Experience with post-secondary recruitment and admissions processes.
* Working knowledge of NC social work education programs and areas of practice.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
* Degree in social work, education, counseling, or other human services related field.
* Experience working in at least one of the five critical service domains: (1) child and family services; (2) mental and behavioral health; (3) health, aging and caregiving; (4) intellectual and developmental disabilities; and/or (5) service to justice system involved individuals.
* Experience using implementation science tools and strategies.
* Experience using data to evaluate program effectiveness and to develop continuous improvement and strategic action plans.
* Experience communicating and managing conflict across diverse varied workforce populations, essential partners, and settings.
* Experience with academic advising for post-secondary education settings
* Experience with classroom-based instruction for in-person and online learning environments.
* Ability to work collaboratively with academic institutions, adult students, working professionals, and other stakeholders
