• Location: St. Anthony's Hospital, 1200 7th Ave N., St. Petersburg, FL 33705
• Status: Full time
• Shift: 9:00AM - 9:30PM (Wednesday) & 6:30AM-7:00PM (Saturday & Sunday)
• On Call: Yes
• Always in person

Summary:

The Operating Room Charge RN responsibilities include:

• Proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills
• Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team
• Is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• Acts as a mentor and resource expert, supports and shares organizational information to all team members
• Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position, we strongly prefer at least 2 years Operating Room experience as an RN. Charge experience is preferred. Board running experience is preferred. This position is eligible for the Weekend Incentive.

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RN (Registered Nurse)
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department
• Preferred Nurse Specialty

Education:

• Bachelor's Nursing or Bachelor's Science in related field or Associate's Nursing and RN Certification in related field

Experience :

• Required includes 2 years acute care experience or 2 years Interventional/Procedural
• Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
