Description

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook basic hot food items according to company recipes and procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, ovens, warmers, and food preparation tools safely and correctly.
• Fry chicken and other fried food products while monitoring cooking times, temperatures, and product quality.
• Assemble hot food items, meals, bowls, plates, and packaged takeout products accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain appropriate food holding temperatures and follow all food safety guidelines.
• Refill and stock hot food stations, prep areas, and ingredient containers throughout the shift.
• Assist with ingredient preparation including portioning, breading, marinating, cutting, and packaging.
• Monitor product quality and communicate any concerns regarding food freshness, shortages, or equipment issues to management.
• Follow all cleaning and sanitation procedures for kitchen equipment, workstations, floors, and storage areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools as needed.
• Properly label, rotate, and store food products using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
• Work cooperatively with kitchen staff, cashiers, and management to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service.
• Follow all company safety standards and health department regulations.
• Maintain a professional attitude and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.

Qualifications:

• Previous kitchen, restaurant, or food preparation experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to safely operate fryers and basic kitchen equipment.
• Strong attention to food safety, cleanliness, and quality standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced kitchen and food service environment.
• Exposure to hot surfaces, cooking equipment, and wet floors.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry products and supplies up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work safely around hot oil, cooking equipment, and sharp tools.
