Holistic Dentistry of Port Washington is seeking an experienced dental front office professional to join our team as a Lead Patient Care Coordinator / Treatment Coordinator .

This is more than a traditional front desk role. You'll become a key member of our practice, partnering closely with our Practice Manager to create an exceptional patient experience while helping ensure the front office operates efficiently every day.

Please note: This is not an office management or HR position. Instead, you'll serve as the lead coordinator of our front office, overseeing patient care coordination, scheduling, treatment coordination, and the daily administrative flow while working alongside the Practice Manager.

As a holistic dental practice, our philosophy and approach are intentionally different from traditional dentistry. Prior experience with holistic dentistry is not required . We provide training and support—we're looking for someone who is curious, open-minded, and excited to learn our approach to patient care.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate the complete new patient experience from the first phone call through follow-up.
• Schedule new patients, restorative treatment, emergency visits, and maintain productive provider schedules.
• Review treatment plans, discuss financial arrangements, collect payments, and coordinate restorative care.
• Follow up with unscheduled treatment and inactive patients using Weave.
• Assist with Healthy Start tracking, Beam Reader reports, referrals, and patient documentation.
• Partner with the Practice Manager on workflow improvements and special projects.
• Support daily front office operations, including phone coverage.
• Provide backup support for hygiene scheduling, patient check-in, opening procedures, and end-of-day reporting until a dedicated Hygiene Coordinator joins the team.

Qualifications

Preferred:

• 4–5 years of dental front office experience
• Experience with treatment coordination and scheduling
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Helpful but not required:

• Knowledge of dental insurance claims
• Experience with Open Dental, Weave, or Dental Exchange
