About the Position

Schedule: 5x8 day shifts, Monday through Friday with every other weekend coverage (shift times vary between 0700-1700). Guaranteed 72 hours per two-week period.

• Collaborate with comprehensive interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
• 13-week assignment with opportunity for extension up to one calendar year

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license in hand (required for offer)
• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience
• Acute care hospital experience required (not behavioral health)
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS certification preferred
• ACM-RN (Accredited Case Manager) certification preferred
• Experience with discharge planning, utilization review, and care coordination
• Knowledge of InterQual criteria, Milliman guidelines, CMS regulations, and medical necessity determinations
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Willingness to float within case management services as needed
• Availability to work two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Valid references covering one year of experience within the last three years
• Hepatitis B vaccination required
