Child Mental Health Therapist – Job Description Ellie Mental Health is excited to welcome a new Therapist to our Kingwood, TX clinic. Qualifications Strong background and experience working with children ages 3-12. Knowledge or experience with play therapy is a plus. Earned master’s degree from an accredited graduate program in psychology, counseling, or social work. Individually licensed in Texas (TBHEC) with an active license in good standing: Full licensure (LPC, LPC‑S, LCSW, or similar). Provisional licensure (LPC‑Associate, LMFT‑Associate, LMSW) with a board‑approved licensing supervisor. At least one year of professional experience as a licensed or pre‑licensed therapist. Strong ties to community resources and referral partners in Kingwood, TX and surrounding areas. An established caseload is encouraged but not required. Skills Professional counseling experience with families, children, adolescents, teens, and adults. Strong knowledge of state requirements regulating mental health practice. Proficient general knowledge of therapy services, insurance billing, and mental health documentation. Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and executive skill sets. Licensed clinicians ideally credentialed with most insurance panels. Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse patient population. Ability to function well in a high‑paced and changing environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to complete and submit documentation and other clinical or employment documents in a timely manner. Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with patients. Adept at learning and navigating Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications and typical office technology. Ability to pass a background check. Responsibilities and Duties Position Full‑time: maintain a caseload of a minimum of 25 client hours per week. Part‑time: maintain a caseload of a minimum of 15 client hours per week. Collaborate with clinic leadership to improve clinical efficiency and quality of services. Implement required policies and procedures. Provide timely responses to concerns raised by clients, clinicians, or stakeholders. Monitor and manage in‑office schedules and supplies. Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings, trainings, and clinic events. Clinical Evaluate mental health diagnosis and create and implement treatment plans. Maintain ongoing documentation including diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, and case notes per policy. Utilize creative interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals. Prepare and submit individual session documentation per company guidelines. Coordinate services with case managers, families, work and medical personnel, other Ellie staff, and school staff as needed. Marketing & Outreach Engage in outside marketing and outreach to generate referrals and grow the Ellie Kingwood brand. Collaborate with the Ellie Kingwood Marketing Team to promote the clinic’s online visibility. Community Relations Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with the team to fill gaps in the community. Participate in clinic community outreach and engagement efforts in collaboration with franchise owners, the clinic director, and the Ellie Outreach Team. Benefits Beautiful, fully furnished offices.
