To support the Chef Manager/Catering Manager with the leadership and management of the entire kitchen brigade. Their focus will be to ensure there are consistently high standards of food delivery and kitchen management across all sections of the business onsite.
Responsibilities include maintaining food hygiene, service & presentation, aiding with menu planning and costings, accommodating food orders, ensuring company policies are implemented, maintaining food safety records, ensuring high standards of produce are accepted, verifying food presentation, assisting with stock takes, reviewing the kitchen hazard list, maintaining good communications, carrying out cleaning duties, and carrying out any reasonable task which assists with the service, food preparation, hygiene, and efficiency of the kitchen.
Qualifications include relevant culinary qualification, 1-2 years' experience in a professional kitchen, experience in industrial catering, ability to prepare sophisticated food items, ability to multitask, ability to communicate optimally, ability to handle food costings, experience of menu planning, dedication, self-motivation, good reliability and timekeeping, ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team, maintaining personal hygiene, professional and courteous manner, passion for food and service, flexible approach to hours and duties, and willingness to undergo training as required.
