Research Coordinator II - Community Based Research Institute

Job Summary Coordinates the operational activities associated with the Gut Microbiome, Sleep and Cognition Study, including but not limited to tracking budget, assisting with study recruitment, participant screening, lower-level staff oversight, data collection, regulatory compliance, and distribution of incentives. Responsibilities Tracks budgets and resources to assure efforts are in compliance with project/study guidelines. Coordinates day-to-day operations of all protocols for the research project. Coordinates the protocols and procedure training sessions Assists with regulatory compliance issues such as tracking and recording protocol-specific certifications and procedure certifications, such as Human Subject Protection and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and records Institutional Review Board approvals, etc. Ensure specifications and source documentation are obtained for all studies from external organizations Ensures statistical and data management reports are generated and distributed in a timely fashion Schedules, coordinates, and conducts training sessions about the study Develops, designs, and coordinates production and distribution of recruitment materials Oversees the updating of the manual of operations (SOP), data collection forms, and websites associated with study Coordinates data collection activities and schedules follow-up study visits and telephone calls Coordinates meetings, phone conferences, minutes, and presentations for multiple projects/studies Coordinates project documentation, such as conflict of interest and copyright forms for manuscript submissions Coordinates and assists with regulatory reports Processes technology evaluation forms and TCMs Serves as custodian of participant incentives Serves as liaison with internal departments and external entities Performs data collection and data entry Assists in writing scientific papers for publication Assists with the preparation and submission of grants Supervises lower-level staff Assists participants with completing data collection instruments Recruits and screens participants Works with Environmental Health and Safety to ensure that all facilities used comply with all applicable regulations. Maintains copies of any applicable facility audits and equipment inspection/service reports. Communicates with participants Requests medical records and coordinates data abstraction of medical records (pertinent diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment) Pick-up and drop-off of study materials at participants houses (mileage reimbursed) Participate in weekly research team meetings Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience. Desired Qualifications Master's degree Bilingual (Spanish/English) CITI certification (social/behavioral) involving human subjects and health privacy. Must be completed within first week.
