About Generational Wealth Advisors Generational Wealth Advisors (“GWA”) is a rapidly growing Registered Investment Advisor located in the Dallas suburb of Richardson. As part of Generational Group, GWA focuses primarily on working with business owners and their families both in preparation for a liquidity event and throughout the years that follow. Position Overview GWA is seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Senior Investment Analyst to join our growing Family Office investment team. This individual will play an important role in evaluating investment opportunities and supporting the deployment and ongoing management of significant Family Office capital across both public and private markets. The ideal candidate will have approximately 10 years of relevant investment experience, strong analytical and financial modeling skills, and meaningful experience evaluating private equity, direct investments, or other alternative investments. This is a highly hands‑on investment role. The successful candidate should enjoy digging deeply into an investment opportunity: reviewing a pitch deck, researching an industry, analyzing financial statements, building a financial model, questioning assumptions, speaking with investment managers or company executives, and ultimately developing a clear and well‑supported investment recommendation. We are looking for someone who is exceptionally bright, learns quickly, communicates clearly, and combines strong quantitative skills with sound business judgement. This is also a growth‑oriented role. As GWA and its Family Office capabilities continue to expand, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to assume progressively greater responsibility for investment analysis, portfolio construction, manager selection, and investment decision‑making, with the potential to develop over time into a senior investment leadership position. Key Responsibilities Investment Analysis & Underwriting Evaluate prospective investments across public and private markets, with particular emphasis on private equity, direct investments, co‑investments, private credit, real estate, and other alternative investments. Review pitch decks, investment memoranda, financial statements, capitalization tables, operating models, and other diligence materials. Build detailed financial models, including valuation analyses, return models, sensitivity analyses, scenario analyses, and investment waterfalls. Analyze business models, industry dynamics, competitive positioning, management teams, capital structures, growth assumptions, and potential exit scenarios. Conduct independent research and due diligence to test and validate assumptions presented by investment sponsors and managers. Identify the key risks, opportunities, assumptions, and unanswered questions associated with prospective investments. Develop clear and concise written investment analyses and recommendations for senior leadership and investment committees. Private Markets & Manager Due Diligence Evaluate private equity funds, direct private company investments, co‑investments, venture capital, private credit, real estate, and other alternative investment opportunities. Analyze investment managers, including strategy, historical performance, team, investment process, portfolio construction, fees, incentives, and alignment of interests. Participate in diligence calls and meetings with private equity sponsors, fund managers, company executives, investment bankers, and other investment professionals. Evaluate prospective transactions under multiple operating, financing, and exit scenarios. Assist in maintaining and prioritizing the pipeline of prospective investments from initial review through final investment decision. Portfolio Analysis & Investment Strategy Support the development and implementation of asset allocation and investment strategies for Ultra High Net Worth and Family Office clients. Analyze portfolio exposures across asset classes, investment managers, industries, geographies, liquidity profiles, and other risk factors. Assist with liquidity planning and the thoughtful deployment of significant amounts of new investment capital following client liquidity events. Monitor existing investments and identify material changes in performance, outlook, valuation, or risk. Evaluate new investment opportunities in the context of a client’s overall portfolio rather than solely as stand‑alone investments. Assist in developing and refining analytical tools for monitoring investment performance, commitments, cash flows, exposures, liquidity, and portfolio‑level risk. Investment Decision Support & Communication Prepare investment committee materials that clearly communicate the investment thesis, expected returns, risks, key assumptions, and recommendation. Present analytical findings and investment recommendations to senior members of the investment team. Translate complex financial and investment concepts into clear, concise conclusions for both investment professionals and clients. Work collaboratively with GWA’s wealth management, financial planning, tax, estate planning, and Family Office professionals to consider the broader implications of investment decisions. Coordinate as appropriate with outside investment managers, attorneys, accountants, bankers, and other professional advisors. Qualifications Approximately five years of relevant investment experience in private equity, investment banking, family office investing, institutional asset management, private credit, investment management, or a similar analytical investment role. CFA designation strongly preferred. MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus. Meaningful experience evaluating private equity, direct investments, co‑investments, or other alternative investments. Excellent financial modeling skills and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation, capital structures, investment returns, and fundamental investment analysis. Demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous investment research and due diligence. Exceptional analytical and critical-thinking skills, with an ability to quickly understand unfamiliar businesses, industries, and investment structures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex analysis into clear and concise recommendations. Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding how businesses operate, compete, create value, and generate returns. Strong attention to detail while maintaining an ability to recognize the larger strategic and investment picture. High degree of initiative, resourcefulness, and personal accountability. Low ego and a collaborative mindset, with a willingness to perform detailed analytical work regardless of the size or complexity of the opportunity. Discretion and professionalism when working with Ultra High Net Worth and Family Office clients and highly sensitive financial information. New investment opportunities are considered within the context of each client’s overall portfolio, liquidity requirements, and long‑term objectives. Investment recommendations are communicated clearly in both written and verbal form. The individual becomes increasingly capable of independently leading investment diligence and making well‑reasoned investment recommendations. Over time, the individual develops the investment judgment, client perspective, and leadership capabilities necessary to assume significantly greater responsibility within GWA’s investment organization.
