Every third weekend, 7am to 1pm. Location: North Hospital. Job Summary The Phlebotomist/Specimen Processor provides general laboratory services including specimen collection using routine venipuncture, order entry, blood component preparation, specimen receipt, waived testing, pre‑analytic processing of specimens, and related clerical tasks such as entering orders into the system, confirming specimen validity, answering phone calls, and managing faxes. The incumbent may also be responsible for patient and specimen registration and the delivery of specimens. Requirements High school graduate or GED equivalent. Completion of a phlebotomy training program with experience in a laboratory or coursework in biological, chemical, or related science preferred. May require a valid Indiana Operators license and a good driving history for the last three years. May require an understanding of traffic laws in the State of Indiana. Proven computer skills. Telephone skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member. Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
