**Required Certifications:** - BLS (Basic Life Support) - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Completed Advanced AWHONN EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) class **Experience or Skills:** - Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D) - Proficient in care of high-risk obstetric (OB) patients - Able to care for Magnesium drips and Insulin Drips - Able to circulate a cesarean section in the OR and recover patient in PACU - Proficient in baby care at both vaginal and cesarean delivery - Must titrate drips: Pitocin, Magnesium, Insulin **RNs Responsibilities:** - Required to read their own strips for electronic fetal monitoring - Advanced AWHONN electronic fetal monitoring certification is required **Licensure:** - Active IL (Illinois) license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated **Additional Notes:** - There is a charge nurse 24/7 in L&D who does not take a team of patients - House supervisor available 24/7 - RNs float to Postpartum and Antepartum units only **BSN:** - False, not required
